Bambu Lab printers
Enclosed CoreXY, fast and highly automated
The brand that made printing at 300 mm/s standard without fighting the firmware. Automatic calibration, camera, AMS for multi-colour, and a very closed ecosystem: it works brilliantly as long as you stay within it.
Recommended slicer
Bambu Studio (fork of PrusaSlicer) or OrcaSlicer
Ecosystem
Closed profiles per machine and filament, proprietary cloud, and AMS for material swapping
Downloadable PDF guide

What they do well
- Levelling, flow and resonance calibrate automatically on every print
- The AMS handles multi-colour and purging automatically
- Built-in camera and remote control from your phone
Where they give trouble
- Generic third-party filament profiles often fall short: clone them and tweak temperature and flow
- The AMS and hygroscopic filaments (PETG, TPU, nylon) don't get along if you don't dry them
- Out-of-warranty repairs rely heavily on proprietary parts
Workshop tips for Bambu Lab
Third-party filament in AMS
Create a custom profile starting from the generic material profile, lower the flow by 2–3 % and raise 5 °C if you see poor layer adhesion. Save it under the spool name so you don't have to repeat the work.
TPU and AMS don't get along
Soft TPU (under 95A) must be loaded through the external feeder. In the AMS, it tangles and causes a jam.
Smooth vs textured plate
The textured plate is more forgiving with PETG; the smooth PEI plate gives a glossy finish but needs a glue stick to avoid pulling off chunks of coating.

Sometimes the part is more urgent than the learning curve. Send us the file and we'll print it with the right material and settings from our workshop in Viladecavalls.
Still not working?
Tell Marco which printer and material you use and he'll tell you what to change.
