Bambu Lab P1S
The enclosed printer we use daily for ABS, ASA and technical parts
The P1S is an enclosed CoreXY: it's our choice when the part needs to withstand heat or sunlight. Its typical issues involve chamber temperature (too high for PLA), AMS jams with wet filaments and bed sensor errors when the sheet isn't clean.
Starting settings
- PLA (with door and lid open)
- 220 °C / 55 °C
- PETG
- 250 °C / 70 °C
- ABS / ASA (enclosed)
- 260 °C / 100 °C
- PA / PC
- hardened nozzle mandatory
- Chamber with closed door
- 40–50 °C

Maintenance
- Replace the active carbon filter every 3–6 months if printing ABS or ASA.
- Grease the linear rods every 300 hours using official grease.
- Clean the extruder gear with a brush whenever you see filament dust.
- Check the AMS PTFE tubes: if they are scratched, replace them.
FAQ
P1S or X1 Carbon?
The X1C adds LiDAR, a large screen and failure detection. For normal production, the P1S prints just as well and costs significantly less.
Can I print carbon fibre on the P1S?
Yes, but you need a hardened steel nozzle: PLA-CF and PA-CF will eat through a brass nozzle in a few hours.
Is your Bambu Lab P1S not giving you what you need?
Sometimes the part is more urgent than the learning curve. Send us the file and we'll print it with the right material and settings from our workshop in Viladecavalls.
Still not working?
Tell Marco which printer and material you use and he'll tell you what to change.
