Affordable FDM and plenty of resin
Strong in both budget FDM (Kobra) and LCD resin (Photon), which is where it really excels. Good value for money with firmware that is more closed off than Creality's.

What they do well
- Very competitive pricing with automatic bed levelling as standard
- In resin, excellent detail quality for little money
- Compact, enclosed machines, good for home use
Where they give trouble
- The Kobra extruder struggles with TPU and abrasive filaments
- Resin requires gloves, ventilation and curing: it's not a living room hobby
- Conservative official profiles; you gain a lot with Orca
Workshop tips for Anycubic
Fail-safe resin
Always print the manufacturer's exposure matrix before a long print: an extra 0.5 s will round off all fine detail.
FEP and cleaning
Filter the resin after every fail and check the FEP: cured debris stuck to the bottom ruins the next print and scratches the sheet.
Kobra with PETG
Lower the flow by 3 % and increase retraction to ~1 mm; the stock hotend leaves quite a bit of stringing with PETG.
