Cheap Klipper: high speed if you spend an afternoon tuning it
The Neptune 4 Pro comes with Klipper out of the box and a very good speed/price ratio, but it arrives with aggressive profiles. The difference between a bad-looking part and a good one lies in calibrating pressure advance and lowering the outer wall speed.
Starting settings
- PLA
- 210 °C / 60 °C
- PETG
- 240 °C / 80 °C
- Outer wall
- 80–120 mm/s (not 250)
- Pressure advance
- calibrate with the Klipper tower

Maintenance
- Tighten eccentrics and tension belts every 100 hours.
- Grease the Z lead screws (it has two).
- Repeat input shaper if you move the printer to a different location.
FAQ
Can I use original Klipper with Fluidd or Mainsail?
Yes, the community publishes alternative firmwares, but you lose the warranty on the official Elegoo software.
Is your Elegoo Neptune 4 Pro not giving you what you need?
